Soft Pipes is the work of Anthony Polcino who sounds a lot like Julian Casablancas. The progression of “Stay Pretty” is nice, starting with the sound of a fuzzy guitar and turning into something a lot dreamier than anything The Strokes would ever do.
Knock and Rock: Soft Pipes.
I had an interesting experience with the folks from the very cool, very original, new web series knock & rock a few weeks back. It’s always a good idea to keep things extremely real by taking yourself out of the comfort zone of the studio or controlled concert atmosphere and bring the music back to what it was ultimately created for- the people. A true test to those that participate. Not everyone can do so. Also an honest testament to the folks who not only let strangers into their homes but also let the music into their psyche. And on a Sunday afternoon, of all times. In my episode, I decided to span my releases thus far and treat you to an unreleased tune because hey, ‘tis the season.
